Cheney and company claim success in the Global War on Terror, and evidence that they point to is two fold; First that the United States has suffered no attacks in the past five years, and second that certain terror plots, such as the recent one in London, have been foiled.
Certainly the biggest argument against these claims is that a Global War on Terror, should be judged on how well Terrorism has been deterred on a Global Scale. Madrid, London, Bali, India and on and on, are examples of places where we have failed.
My biggest argument is that if this administration can claim success from a disrupted plot in London, do they not also have to accept responsibility for the successful attack there?
